     Wearing hats daily in my real estate business is an "attention-getter", but one that really works!  For example, potential clients may forget my name, but they will remember me as "The Hat Lady of Real Estate" and will make an effort to search for me.  That happens frequently and reinforces my use of hats  which over and over again has proven so successful.

     Would you believe that I now find myself working with the second generation.  I frequently receive telephone calls from prospective clients saying, "hey, Hat Lady, you sold my parents a home years ago.  Now I need one!"

    "Attention-getters" are not always easy.  How would you like to have to decide what hat to wear each day?  Do you first pick the hat and then pick the matching outfit--or do you first select the outfit and then the matching hat?  And then you ask yourself, "Oh gosh, do I have any shoes to match this hat?  And do I have the accessories that complete the ensemble?"

    Also, it is not inexpensive since I have an investment of over 500 hats.  Try to picture this - in my bedroom there are so many hats there is barely room for my bed!  Open any closet in my home, walk down a hallway, go into any room...

     I must say it is really fun to use hats.  This "attention-getter" not only tends to set the mood for the day, but it really works for me in my business life.  Perhaps when I retire, I will open a store and sell my hats to other people so that they can have as much fun with hats as I have had!
